AspenTech : Corporate : RSS

  • What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly updated web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs, and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to simplify the retrieval of this information.

What are the benefits of RSS?

RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving summaries of the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually to see if there are any new updates.

    How do I get started?

AspenTech provides several RSS feeds which comply with the RSS 1.0 standard.

To view an AspenTech RSS feed you will need to do the following:

    Download an RSS Reader

    • Firefox 2.0 or Internet Explorer 7 - RSS is integrated into the browser
    • SharpReader (Windows)
    • FeedBlitz (RSS to email)
    • News Gator (Windows Outlook)
    • Safari (Mac) - RSS is integrated into the browser
    • Straw (GNU/Linux)
    • Google Reader

Internet Explorer 6 does not support RSS. If you use Internet Explorer 6, you will need to use a separate RSS reader such as SharpReader or Google Reader.
